The Incredible Igloo

Image
The Incredible Igloo Reception (Bumblebees and Ladybirds) imaginatively made an igloo out of milk bottles. We have never seen so many milk bottles in our lives!     The igloo is being used as a den so the children can sit in it and read a book. The reception class made the igloo because they are learning about the Arctic and polar bears.

Introducing Miss Sun

Introducing………..Miss Sun!   This year the school has had the delight of being taught Chinese by the wonderful Miss Sun. All year groups have been taught the basics of Chinese. Everyone has been learning different Chinese words for: numbers, animals, family members, how to say ‘I like’ and how to write Chinese characters.   Soon the Chinese New Year is coming. All classes are going to learn about the event in their Chinese lessons.

French Puppet Show In the summer Year 5 and Year 6 will be performing a French puppet show to younger year groups and will be having a French conversation with many different Jean Pierre’s! Miss Pouteau will be organising, directing and giving parts! Jean Pierre is Miss Pouteau’s French puppet who asks us French questions.

Fun Reading

FUN READING     Every term 6HA will be reading books to the children in Reception (Bumblebees and Ladybirds) to help the teachers find out what books they like the most! 6HA are very excited to have the opportunity to read to younger people so we can share our favorite books. We are doing this because we love to read and to develop our communication skills. If you have any fiction books that you think younger children might like, can you please suggest them to someone in 6HA? THANK YOU

More about the Mosaic

Image
M o re a b o u t t h e M o s a i c Our school's  mosaic was created and designed by a local artist . If you remember a year ago,  in the summer,  the pupils from Rayleigh Primary  all designed UNICEF  pictures based around:  f ood, family , equality and shelte r.  The artist  combined  most of the designs into the majestic masterpiece we see when we walk in to the office. Have a look! Which one is your favourite?

Congratulations to all the students awarded the Headmasters 'Certificate of Excellence'.....Well done !!
