Year 4 Egyptian Day

Image
On the 15th of May, Year 4 experienced Egyptian Day!  In the morning, they had fun making delicious Egyptian 'wine!' (pretending to be nobles).  Afterwards Year 4 were archaeologists and dug for Egyptian artefacts!  Next they were scribes and wrote secret messages in hieroglyphics for each other to decipher.  When break time was over, Year 4 were set the challenge of creating a boat to sail on the Nile. This investigation got highly competitive!  As well as this Year 4 mummified their toys and then themselves!  In the afternoon, the whole year group participated in a hieroglyphics hunt on the playground. What a day! Hopefully they had fun and enjoyed themselves!    Written by Lydia Clarke :)

SATs Update

After a tough and challenging week, Year 6 have nearly completed their SATs tests. Well done Year 6 you have worked extremely hard!  Please remember that the tests do not define who you are. Keep up the positive attitude!  Written by, Ben Flynn

Year 4 make Egyptian Masks!

Image
In Year 4 we have seen some excellent creative work! Both classes are half way through making their Egyptian masks. They have already cut out the template, attached a mask and a chin. Modrock was used to give the masks an authentic look before they added paint.  Here they are in progress: Their next job is to decorate! We look forward to the finished product!
