Cinderella

Image
Roald Dahl's Cinderella  Blog Club Review Jessie thoroughly enjoyed the year 4 production and hopes to see another one like this soon. Her favourite part was when Prince Charming beheaded the ugly step sisters because they used a ball as their head and they threw the ball over towards the audience! Well Done!! Olivia thought that you’re play was amazing! Everyone appreciates the Year Four’s and the teachers’ efforts. My favourite part was when everyone joined in for the song at the end! Great work! Let’s hope that the Year Five’s can keep it up for their performance after the Easter Holidays! Coming soon to Rayleigh Primary! :p By Olivia and Jessie 5DF

INTERNATIONAL WEEK CHINESE DAY  By Lexie and Maddie 5JB On Thursday 11 th of February, pupils from Rayleigh Primary School were told they could dress up in red and gold clothes for Chinese day, as part of our International week. Many children dressed up in the most amazing Chinese clothes! In 5JB Rhys' Chinese clothes looked amazing. Madeleine and Matthew won the best outfits and they both got a Chinese post card. 5JB got an exclusive chance to make dumplings with our Chinese teacher, Miss Huang. It was the first time we had ever done this and it was a great experience to try something new.  “I enjoyed making them and when they were boiled they tasted great!” says Amber-Rae from 5JB. Christie Chandler quoted, ‘My dough kept splitting and the mixture inside was falling out, but when they were finished they tasted great!’. The lower years did an extremely tiring but very enjoyable exercise session with Miss Huang. Even the staff joined in-well some of them

Rayleigh Vs Grovewood Football Result (at home)

Image
Tuesday saw a return match between Rayleigh and Grove Wood this time with Rayleigh hosting the match at home.  It was tremendous team effort which culminated in 3 great goals by Liam Wagstaff. There was some fantastic defensive play by Logan and Danny which frustrated the Grove Wood forwards and some good midfield skills shown by Rhys, Oscar, Max and Oliver.  It was also a demonstration of  the high level fitness and stamina displayed by Rayleigh with the end to end play. Rayleigh proved to be the better side at the final whistle, with the result standing at 3-1 to Rayleigh.
