Swimming Gala On Thursday 14th. July years 5 and 6 competed in the annual swimming gala. The results are as follows. Champion Girl - Robyn Quince (6HA) Runner up Champion Girl - Zoe Raycraft (6DM) Champion Boy - Thomas Swann (6DM) Runner up Champion Boy - Liam Wagstaff (6DM) Endeavour Award - Holly Dixon (6DM) House scores: 1st - Romans 2nd - Saxons 3rd - Normans 4th - Danes    

Children in Reception built  castles, in our house teams, using junk materials.

This week school award is presented for Being An Individual. Well done to all the nominees.

Roman Day 28th June 2016 During the day the children had an opportunity to play Roman games, complete quizzes and examine Roman artefacts. A fantastic day was had by all which was topped off by a re-enactment of the battle of Boudica at the end of the day. 

Superheroes : Then and now The year 2 children had a brilliant time last Tuesday 5 th July when we had our Superhero day! During this time, they explored the idea of being a superhero through the film ‘The Incredibles' and studied the concept of right and wrong / good and bad. They also explored the different aspects of being a hero. One of the best parts of this day was the children being dressed up as their own superhero and having an opportunity to learn about green screen filming and design. Click here to see more photos.

Year 3 learning about Pirates.

  Year 6 at 'Play in a Day' at Sweyne school! A big thanks to the Rotary Club for sponsoring it and Lesley and Mrs Keenleyside for having us along! 

  Year 4 designed, made and evaluated an enclosure for a reptile. They used circuits to generate light and warmth for their reptile. Click below to view more photos.

Yesterday, the 4th. July Rayleigh Primary School years 3 to 6 participated in the  district sports day at Garon Park in Southend.  We competed in a number of events which included the sprint and relay races as well as the long jump and throwing events.  We managed to win a number of medals and came an overall 3rd place. This is our highest school placing in this competition,  compared to last years result (5th.)

This Week School Award presented for Symbolises Rayleigh Primary School. Well done to all the nominees.

For a week in June year 6 visited the PGL centre in Liddington. There were lots of organised activities including abseiling, giant swing and a sensory trail to name but a few. It was a great week for everyone involved.                                                                 More Photographs
