Dear Parents, Your child should have brought home a clothes recycling bag yesterday. This bag can be filled with any clean clothes, bed linen, towels, bags and paired shoes, boots, trainers, sandals and flip flops. It should be brought to school and put in the clothes recycling bin which is outside the KS2 building by Monday 9th May. It you need more bags, please pop into the school office where we have spares. Little Havens would like to invite the families of Essex to a wonderful event at Little Havens Children’s Hospice in Thundersley. Join us for a fun packed woodland walk around the beautiful woods at Little Havens Hospice, ( Daws Heath Rd, Benfleet SS7 2LH ) meeting woodland characters along the way. As well as a 1.5k sponsored walk there will be a free tractor ride, face painting, a craft corner, tombola, toy sale and refreshments. Walks do need to be booked in advance to avoid disappointment. The results for our Easter wildlife photographer of the year are in ! The standard this year was outstanding, making the judges job that little bit more difficult. Year 4JD were visited by the Ancient Egyptian God, Anubis. The children used their knowledge of the Egyptian After life to decide if their classmates would be allowed to enter.

Every Thursday afternoon, the children from Year 2 go to Gordon Roughley Court retirement complex to visit the residents. The children read and learn new skills with them. It is a very enjoyable time for both residents and children.
