Megacentre Rayleigh family support services for the forthcoming term

Parentalk – the Primary Years – a free six week course for parents of primary school age children looking at boundaries, communication, encouraging independence and strengthening family relationships.  This will be held on Tuesdays from 12.30pm – 2.30pm on 12^th/19^th/26^th September and 3^rd/10^th/17^th October.

Parentalk – the Teenage Years – a free six week course for parents of teens (or soon to be teens) and will include discussions on boundaries, communication, staying connected as our child grows, conflict, big pressures/good choices and strengthening family relationships.  This will be held on Tuesdays from 7pm – 9pm on 12^th/19^th/26^th September and 3^rd/10^th/17^th October.

The ADHD group continues on alternate Thursdays from 10am – 12pm on 14^th & 28^th September, 12^th October, 2^nd/16^th/30^thNovember and 14^th December.

The Parents SEN forum will continue once a month on a Friday from 10am – 12pm on 8^th September, 6^th October, 10^th November and 8^th December.

The Wednesday afternoon Family Fun session will continue from 4.30pm – 6pm on Wednesdays in term time for children of primary school age. 

On the third Monday afternoon of the month, from 4.30pm – 6pm, we are starting a new SEN session in our softplay structure for the families who attend our Wednesday Family Fun but also for any other family who have a child with additional needs.  The dates for these will be 18^th September, 16^th October, 20^th November and 18^th December.  

On Tuesday mornings in term time, from 10am – 12pm, a parents coffee morning in partnership with Cara Parker, the Family Worker for The Parish of Rayleigh, this is primarily targeted at new parents who have a baby or toddler – the idea is to promote friendships and cut through the isolation new parents can sometimes feel with a new little one.  It is free to come to and held in the Megaplay softplay area.  This starts again on 12^th September.

The ASD – Alpha Sigma Delta – group for girls aged 11 and above on the autistic spectrum continues this term too, Thursdays 7pm – 8.30pm at The Megacentre,  in partnership with SAFE.  The dates for the girls group are 21^st September, 19^th October, 16^thNovember and 14^th December. The parents meetings will form part of our Friday morning Parents SEN forum as detailed above.
